Solid 304 stainless-steel, Schaefer Beer STARR "X" bottle opener.  This opener is the 8th in our 'STARR "X" Collector Series' of bottle openers. Will be marked with a letter to show its' place in the series and then its' production number.  First opener is marked H0001.

Schaefer Beer was first brewed in New York City in 1842 by the F. & M. Schaefer Brewing Company.  The company relocated to Brooklyn in the early 20th century. It went public in 1968 with a $106 million stock offering.  In the  1950's & 1970's, Schaefer Beer was one of the top selling beers in the U.S., ranking as high as fifth. They expanded and opened a large modern brewery in Fogelsville, PA in the 1970's.  It grew to brew up to 5,000,000 barrels a year.  In1981, Schaefer was acquired by Stroh Brewing Company which, in turn, was acquired by Pabst Brewing Company in 1999.

Each bottle opener is  a lost wax casting which is then machined & hand finished in-house.  Openers could have a slightly different appearance from what is pictured.  Comes packed in our retro box with two stainless steel mounting screws.  Measures 3 1/8" high x 2 5/8" wide x 1 1/4" deep. Mounting holes are 2.5" on center.

* With our growing number of different debossed stainless-steel designs as well as the bottle openers being manufactured in-house in small batches, instant availability of certain designs might be affected if overall demand exceeds our production abilities.
