I found a old starr x bottle opener on a old bar my great aunt & uncle had in their house. I bought the house back in 1998 after their passing on. I didn't think much about it till today when i took it off to clean it. It cleaned up very nice. I was wondering about it so I looked up your web site & was happy to find the history on it. This house was built in 1943, & that is the same time when the patent date for the opener is too! Just thought you might want to know after all this time it looks & still works great!

Bought my classic "Open Bottle Here" opener on a trip to California at a local store in Monterrey (in front of the acquarium) where you could find any kind of american classic items. Loved it right when I saw it, and it looks great by the grill at home. It comes with the mounting screws, another "first class" detail of the product's premium quality. When I buy beer, one thing is for sure: it has to be a bottle, no cans please... It's a good reason to open a bottle of beer and every time I look at it, it reminds me of this special trip with my wife! I have a friend that loves this item so much that prompted me to order one for him as a gift, since he's just moved to a new home after getting married. I'm sure he'll love it!
